With over 20 years in Contech and AECO digitalization, Nick has founded two tech businesses, was the Global Technical Engineering Director at ATKINS, and served as Commissioner for the National Infrastructure Commission in Wales.

Prof. Yacine is a Professor in Urban Intelligence at Cardiff University, and the Smart Cities Lead Assessor for the European Commission.
Ioan Petri

Associate Professor at Cardiff University specialising on Energy and AI in the built environment. Specialist in designing and implementing energy systems using AI augmented digital twins in real pilot developments such as buildings, local energy communities, maritime and ports, stadiums and sports facilities.
Thomas Beach

Tom is CTO of Optimise-AI and a Reader in Construction Informatics at Cardiff University, who holds a PhD in Computer Science and has been working in the built environment research field for many years.
Tom’s has expertise in the use of optimisation, machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms to create an intelligent built environment.
